Label Processing Guide 🏷️
Automate your shipping label workflow. Process all labels at once with SKUs pre-injected!
What is Label Processing? 🤔
Label processing automatically:
- ✅ Fetches all shipping labels from Vinted & Depop
- ✅ Crops them to 4x6 format (standard label size)
- ✅ Injects SKUs onto each label
- ✅ Merges into one PDF for printing
Note: Depop label processing is available for Grow and Unlimited subscription tiers. Vinted label processing is available for all tiers.
Result: One PDF with all labels ready to print, with SKUs already on each label!
How It Works 🔄
Step 1: Generate Picklist First
Important: Always generate a picklist before processing labels!
-
Generate Picklist
- This extracts order data and SKUs
- Needed for label processing
- See Picklist Guide
-
Verify SKUs
- Check that SKUs are detected
- Add missing SKUs if needed
- Labels will include these SKUs
Step 2: Process Labels
⚠️ Important for Vinted Users: Do NOT manually click “Get shipping label” in Vinted for your orders. fetchin automatically requests and fetches all shipping labels from Vinted during this step. If you’ve already requested labels manually, the order status changes from “Payment successful!” to “Shipping label sent to seller”, and those orders won’t appear in your picklist or be processed. Let fetchin handle everything automatically!
-
Click “Process Labels”
- In the extension popup
- After picklist is generated
- Button appears when ready
-
Wait for Processing
- Extension automatically requests and fetches all labels from Vinted (all tiers) or Depop (Grow & Unlimited tiers)
- For Vinted: Extension requests labels for all orders in “Payment successful!” status
- Crops to 4x6 format
- Injects SKUs
- Merges into PDF
- Usually takes 30-60 seconds
-
Download PDF
- PDF downloads automatically
- Contains all labels
- Ready to print
Label Format 📄
Standard 4x6 Labels
All labels are processed to:
- Size: 4x6 inches (standard label size)
- Format: PDF
- Quality: High resolution for printing
- SKU Placement: Bottom of label
Label Contents
Each label includes:
- ✅ Original Vinted or Depop label (cropped)
- ✅ SKU injected at bottom
- ✅ Order information
- ✅ Buyer address
Supported Carriers 🇬🇧
fetchin supports UK shipping carriers:
- Yodel - Full support
- InPost Home - Home delivery labels
- InPost Locker - Locker delivery labels
- Evri - Full support (formerly Hermes)
- Royal Mail - Full support (including digital labels for high-value orders)
Note: Only UK carriers are supported. International shipping labels are not processed.
Digital Labels for High-Value Orders 📱
What Are Digital Labels?
For orders over £100, Vinted requires digital labels instead of printable labels. fetchin automatically handles this by generating professional 4x6 PDF pages with QR codes that work exactly like regular labels!
Automatic Detection & Handling
fetchin automatically:
- ✅ Detects when an order is over £100
- ✅ Requests digital labels from Vinted automatically
- ✅ Generates professional 4x6 PDF pages with the QR code
- ✅ Includes all necessary information on the label
You don’t need to do anything different - just process labels as normal and fetchin handles it automatically!
What Digital Label PDFs Include
Each digital label PDF page contains:
- Carrier Name - Which courier (Yodel, Evri, Royal Mail, etc.)
- “Scan digital label” - Clear instructions
- QR Code Image - Large, scannable QR code
- Fallback Code - If QR doesn’t scan, use this code instead
- SKU/Bundle ID - Your order identifier
- Receiver Name - Who the package is going to
Using Digital Labels
Same Workflow as Regular Labels!
-
Process Labels Normally
- Click “Process Labels” as usual
- fetchin detects high-value orders automatically
- Digital labels are included in your batch PDF
-
Print & Attach
- Print the 4x6 PDF page just like regular labels
- Stick it on your package
- Same workflow - no confusion!
-
At the Drop-Off Point
- Staff scans the QR code from the printed label on your package
- They apply their shipping label on top
- No need to get your phone out - everything is on the printed label!
- If QR doesn’t scan, staff can use the fallback code shown on the label
-
Works with Bundles
- Bundle orders over £100 also use digital labels
- Bundle ID is shown on the label
- All bundle items are included
- Print and attach just like regular bundle labels
Digital vs Printable Labels
| Feature | Printable Labels | Digital Labels |
|---|---|---|
| When Used | Orders under £100 | Orders over £100 |
| Format | Standard shipping label | QR code on 4x6 page |
| Printing | Print and attach | Print and attach (same!) |
| Workflow | Print → Stick on package | Print → Stick on package (same!) |
| At Drop-Off | Staff scans barcode | Staff scans QR code from printed label |
| SKU Display | Injected on label | Shown below QR code |
| Bundle Support | ✅ Yes | ✅ Yes |
Key Point: Digital labels follow the exact same workflow as regular labels - you print the 4x6 PDF, stick it on your package, and staff at the drop-off point scans the QR code from the printed label. No phone needed!
Note: Digital labels are automatically included in your batch PDFs alongside regular labels - no separate processing needed!
SKU Injection 🏷️
How SKUs Are Added
-
Automatic Detection
- SKUs from picklist are used
- Injected at bottom of label
- Clear, readable font
-
Format
- SKU appears as:
SKU: ABC123 - Positioned at bottom
- Won’t cover important info
- SKU appears as:
-
Missing SKUs
- If SKU not detected, label still processes
- You can add SKU manually later
- Or regenerate with SKU patterns set up
Printing Labels 🖨️

Digital Labels for Bundles
If a bundle order is over £100:
- ✅ Automatically uses digital label format
- ✅ Bundle ID shown on the label
- ✅ QR code includes all bundle items
- ✅ Works seamlessly with regular bundle processing
Troubleshooting 🔧
Labels Not Processing
Possible Causes:
- No picklist generated first
- No labels available on Vinted or Depop
- Extension connection issue
- For Depop: Not on Grow or Unlimited tier
- For Vinted: Labels were manually requested in Vinted (order status changed, so extension can’t detect them)
Solutions:
- Generate picklist first
- For Vinted: Make sure you haven’t manually clicked “Get shipping label” in Vinted - fetchin handles this automatically during “Process Labels”. Orders must be in “Payment successful!” status to be detected
- Check Vinted or Depop has labels ready
- For Depop: Ensure you have Grow or Unlimited subscription
- Refresh extension and try again
Digital Label Issues
If Digital Labels Don’t Generate:
- Check Order Value - Digital labels only for orders over £100
- Vinted Requirements - Vinted may require digital labels for high-value orders
- Automatic Handling - fetchin handles this automatically, no action needed
- Mixed Batches - Your PDF may contain both printable and digital labels - this is normal!
If QR Code Doesn’t Scan:
- Staff can use the fallback code shown on the printed label
- Ensure the printed QR code is clear and not damaged
- Make sure the label is printed at full size (4x6 inches)
- Contact support if issues persist
SKUs Not on Labels
Why This Happens:
- SKUs not detected in picklist
- SKU patterns not set up
- Unusual SKU format
Solutions:
- Set up SKU patterns (see SKU Patterns)
- Manually add SKUs before processing
- Regenerate picklist with patterns
PDF Not Downloading
Try These:
- Check browser download settings
- Allow downloads from extension
- Check download folder
- Try processing again
Label Quality Issues
If Labels Look Wrong:
- Check original Vinted or Depop labels
- Some carriers have different formats
- Contact support with examples
